We understand that you cannot be in church all the time due to other commitments. Therefore, we have decided to bring to you The Word, Prayer and Praise we shared in church on Sunday. Enjoy...
Though It Tarries, Wait for It
1 Corinthians 2:9 reads, But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” This is the promise of God for those who prove they love Him through obedience to His Word. Most of the time, God reveals some of His promises to us through dream or vision of a glorious future. The challenge for Christians is the expectation that such dream or vision should begin to manifest immediately. T.D. Jakes in “Hope for Every Moment” (p.77) suggested that many believers misunderstand the prophesies of the Lord and feel disappointed and despair when the vision is not coming to pass immediately. Just because God promises to elevate you to higher level of success does not mean that the promise will happen in your life immediately. Take Joseph as a case study. He received a dream from God that showed him ruling and reigning over his brothers, but in the next event, his brothers stripped him, beat him, and tossed him in a hole; later he was sold into slavery. His God-given dream did not materialized until after years of challenges, sufferings and temptations.
Just like Joseph, God will reveal a glorious future He has for you but He may not show you what you will go through and how long it will take to get there. Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, It will not tarry. Has God shown you a vision of a glorious future? Have you received a dream of blessed and wealthy tomorrow? Hold on to your faith, trust God, and be patient. He will surely bring His promises to pass in your life. After all, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19). May you not wait in vain and may your God-given dream of a glorious tomorrow comes to fulfillment speedily.
Be blessed always
